Discovery & Diagnostics

Effective strategy requires a stable foundation.

As a strategic advisor, MLT Strategy evaluates organizations to identify the foundational gaps and operational frictions hindering long-term objectives.

  • Operational Performance Audits: Identifying bottlenecks in current workflows, systems, and departmental communication.

  • HR Operations Assessment: Evaluating existing infrastructure, including payroll platforms, handbooks, and performance review systems.

  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Translating organizational goals into actionable, prioritized plans for stability, sustainability, or expansion.

The Outcome: A comprehensive assessment of organizational readiness that defines the necessary steps to ensure infrastructure is healthy, resilient, and aligned with the vision.

Management & Implementation

Strategy is only as good as its execution.

As an embedded leader, MLT Strategy provides the consistent oversight needed to navigate organizational change and achieve pre-defined business objectives.

  • Interim Leadership: Serving as a high-level stop-gap during executive transitions or leadership vacancies to maintain organizational stability.

  • HR Operational Infrastructure: Implementing core systems including pay bands, job descriptions, career paths, and full-cycle hiring processes.

  • Operations Project Management: Directing critical projects to ensure they reach completion with clear accountability and alignment.

The Outcome: A stabilized operational environment where milestones are consistently met, day-to-day management is streamlined, and the organization is prepared for its next phase.

About

Margaret is a strategic leader who excels at creating cohesion from chaos. Much like solving a complex puzzle, she partners with business owners and C-suite executives to analyze the core features of organizational performance, translating leadership-driven vision into clear, actionable plans for sustainable growth.

Margaret brings over two decades of leadership experience spanning multiple sectors. After graduating from Randolph-Macon College, her career began in corporate advertising and brand strategy, where she built a strong foundation in marketing planning and client relationships. Her focus then shifted to operational management as a Director for two Virginia non-profits, before returning to the corporate sector to serve as Vice President of Administration for an IT recruiting company and as a Senior Strategist for a marketing agency.

This diverse background culminated in the founding of MLT Strategy, LLC in June 2021. Serving as a fractional operations executive and strategic consultant, Margaret works directly with business leaders to uncover operational friction and leads the implementation of stabilizing changes.

Margaret is a recognized leader, having been featured in the Richmond Times-Dispatch's "Decision Maker" column and is a proud Leadership Quest Graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond (Class of 2017). Her passions include unobstructed views of the ocean, championing the Oxford comma, and the lifelong magic of Disney. She resides in Richmond, Virginia with her family.
